Coastal and ocean ecosystems inspire me to capture elements of the natural world in varied media, most recently working with an old Canon AE-1 and 35mm film. My photos reinterpret biological detail and geographical scale, cataloging fieldwork and exploration into a personalized natural history. I spend much of my time thinking about how artists and scientists can co-create visions of, and pathways for, a sustainable future for the ocean.

Before returning to school to study marine biology, I worked for 5 years in the art industry in Los Angeles as a collections manager, archivist, and bookkeeper for artist studios and art galleries.
